Marking the International Museum Day, 39 museums will keep their doors open.

Culture and Tourism Minister Numan Kurtulmuş said on Tuesday that 39 museums will keep their doors open until 23.00 local time.

Marking the International Museum Day, 39 museums will keep their doors open.


Due to the International Museum Day on May 18, the "Museum Night" event will be organized. Conferences, museum visits, workshops will be held on May 18-24. Many museums will be open for free of charge until 23.00 local time.

The ‘Museum Night’ event will be organized in the museums as follows:

Adana Museum, Amasya Museum, Ankara Anatolian Civilizations Museum, Ethnography Museum of Ankara, Museum of Lycian Civilizations - Demre, Antalya Museum, Alanya Museum, Side Museum, Aydın Museum, Burdur Museum, Bartın Amasra Museum, Çorum Museum, Edirne Museum, Edirne Turkish-Islamic Works Museum, Eskişehir Eti Archeology Museum, Izmir Atatürk Museum, Izmir Efes Museum, Izmir Ödemiş Museum, Istanbul Museum of Archeology, Gaziantep Museum of Archeology, Gaziantep Zeugma Mosaic Museum, Hatay Museum of Archeology Museum, Istanbul Archaeological Museums, Istanbul Hagia Sophia Museum, Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum, Muğla Marmaris Museum, Niğde Museum, Sivas Museum, Sinop Museum, Şanlıurfa Museum, Kocaeli Museum, Kahramanmaraş Museum, Kastamonu Museum, Konya Mevlana Museum, Mardin Museum, Mersin Museum, Muğla Fethiye Museum and Şanliurfa Haleplivahçe Mosaic Museum.
