Bus Flights Starts between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan
After 26 years, between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan starts bus services on May 15. The bus services will be made by a transport company called Asian Express of Tajikistan.
After 26 years between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, bus services were re-established. Those services are scheduled to open on May 15th. The trips will be realized by Tajikistan's Asian Express company between the two countries.
Head of Asia Express company Sulton Kamalov, mentioned the city routes to be traveled: "Our buses will keep heading from Dushanbe to Denav and Tirmiz, from Panjakent to Samarkand, from Hucend to Tashkent and Fergana."
Uzbekistan President Shevket Mirziyoyev, during a visit to Tajikistan's capital, Dushanbe, on 9 March, upon the invitation of Imamali Rahman, President of Tajikistan a total of 27 agreements were signed about border issues, visa regime, the strengthening of cooperation in the economy and trade. According to the agreements, the citizens of the two countries will be able to stay in the neighboring countries for up to 30 days without a visa.According to Tajik sources, more than 10,000 Tajik travel to various Uzbek cities every day.
