Carbamide production starts in Turkmenistan
In June, production of carbamide (urea) plant will begin in the city of Garabogaz, Turkmenistan.
The production capacity of the plant will be 1 million 155 thousand tons carbamide per year. "Türkmenhimiya", a state-owned enterprise is the owner of the plant where 500 workers will work.
According to the information provided by the managing directorate of the factory, Mitsubishi Corporation has completed the installation of technological and auxiliary equipment for the industrial processing of natural gas into ammonia and urea.
With the introduction of the new enterprise, the annual volume of nitrogen fertilizers produced in Turkmenistan will exceed two million tons. About one-third of this products will be supplied to the domestic market, the rest will be exported.
Representatives of American, Italian and Dutch companies as well as Danish company Haldor Topsoe AS are involved in the preparation phase of the plant, which will produce products that meet world quality standards and will process the natural gas.
