Fire in Athens can not be stopped, there are dead and wounded
It has been reported that about fifty people have lost their lives in the growing fire near Greece's capital Athens and about 157 others have been wounded.

The forest fire that started yesterday evening in the Mati district, 20 kilometers east of the capital city of Athens, continues to grow. The fire started for unknown reasons in the wooded area of the Mati neighborhood where the Athenians' summer houses, hotels and tourist facilities are located, spread in a short time and expanded to settlement centers.
Fire brigades are being accused of the fact that the number of dead vıctıms has increased since they cannot enter most of the burnıng houses.
State of emergency has been announced
The Greek government has announced that a state of emergency has been declared in the territory of Attiki, including the capital Athens and its surroundings.
On the other hand, Greece, which is seeking support from the European Union due to the fire that covers an extensive area, hundreds of houses and vehicles were reduced to ashes. Thousands of people were evacuated.
Nearly 300 firefıghters interceptıng by land, 7 Canadair aircrafts and 10 helicopters are trying to prevent the fire. The people living in the coastal villages in the surrounding area fled to the coast because of the approaching flames.
Greece asked Turkey for help
Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu called on his Greek counterpart, Koças, expressing sadness for the occasion and saying
that they are ready for any kind of assistance.
