Increasing Domestic Production in Kazakhstan Oil Market
The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kanat Bozumbayev, at the meeting of Kazakhstan’s Parliament noted that market of oil and gas products is considerably changing.
Minister said, "We are at a turning point in Kazakhstan's petroleum products market, the modernization of Pavlodar and Atyrau refineries have been completed and the share of import dependency in motor fuels has decreased. Today, 58% of jet fuel in the country and 90% of gasoline and diesel fuel are supplied domestically ".
Bozumbaev also added that in 2018, the total volume of oil production will increase by more than 1 million tons comparison with the previous year and amount to 16 million tons.
Considering the import dependence on petrol and diesel fuels, daily monitoring of the imports of petroleum products established to monitor the current situation in the market and other than that, oil is expected to be processed on an average of 300 thousand tons per year.
