Astana will host Eurovision-like Song Festival
In Astana on July 10-12, a series of events like seminars and conferences will be held under the slogan "Media Dialogue of Asia", within which the first Asian Radio Song Festival will be held.

This was reported by the Minister of Information and Communications of Kazakhstan Dauren Abayev at a press conference on July 9.
According to the minister, the music festival of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU Radio Song Festival) is the annual song contest of the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, similar to the Eurovision song contest.
Abayev also noted that this year Kazakhstan will become the first country hosting the festival in Central Asia. Performers of such countries as Turkey, Nepal, Maldives, etc. will take part in the competition.
The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting union, a non-profit professional association that was established in 1964 and unites 292 broadcasters from 69 countries in Asia and Oceania. The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Association main aim is to promote the common interests of regional broadcasting organizations and to strengthen international and regional cooperation in the field of broadcasting.
